          WEEK OF OCTOBER 8, 2000

                  <HI EVERYONE!>
Happy Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving was this past Sunday for everyone in Canada! I know one thing I’m definitely thankful for, all of you for reading AW every single week! Awwww :-) What a fantastic week for news!! There’s a lot of great stuff in News this week, so check it out! I totally organized and re-counted all the AW Adresses, I deleted all the repeat addresses I had and it turned out I had about 20 extra addresses that were not needed (if you have noticed the member numbers has gotten smaller)! Anyway, read on...!

AW FORUM
&&&&&&&&&
Last week's forum: are you expecting The Ellimist Chronicles to be awesome? Why??
"Yes, I am expecting the Ellimist Chronicles to be awesome because, well, that's the only thing that I'm really looking forward to. I swear, if it sucks, I'm gonna be so pissed! If the series is gonna end, I hope that that's the last good Animorphs book."
- Andrew

"yes. becuz it better b or else certain people owe me a b-day present ::glares at Alliegram::"
- Steph :)

"ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, yes! Ellimist ANYTHING is always cool! althought i'm probably gonna be disappointed with it because it read the Chee Chronicles (the Fan-fic, anyone remember those? did she ever finsh them?).
- AG

"Am I expecting EC to be awesome? AM I EXPECTING EC TO BE AWESOME?!?!?!? Yes, I am. Why? Duh, It's narrated by ELLIMIST HIMSELF!!! And Jeff said there's something reeeeeally surprising in it."
- seahorse101286

"they should be so cooollll! i just can't wait for the book to get out! if i get the money, i'll get it the same day!"
- Krystal

"I think the Ellimist Chronicles will be okay, but not that great, because there is way to much hype about them. I mean, fans have been asking for Ellimist Chronicles since, I think, book 7. (Or somewhere around there.)"
- Sabrina

This week's forum question is: how do you want the series to end?

AW POLL
%%%%%%%
Last week's poll question was: should K.A. have never used ghostwriters in her books?

She shouldn’t have    7
No, they are good     2

This week's poll question is: do you think K.A. will NOT extend her contract in December? (have I already asked this before?) Please send in your poll response to me at aw_newsletter@hotmail.com with "poll" as the subject. Thanks!

NEWS
======
- #47 and The Ellimist Chronicles have now been released in bookstores! #47 has 141 pages and Ellimist has an even 200 pages. The word is, both books are excellent! Also, #47 has been confirmed to be co-narrated, like #19 and 42 were.

- According to Jeff, someone in the series WILL actually DIE before the end of the series. He doesn’t know who or when, he just knows someone will indeed die. The proof? It’s written in the prologue and epilogue of the Ellimist Chronicles itself! No one knows who it is, except K.A.

- The Official Site has updated with #48 and Ellimist summary and sample chapters! Here’s the official summary of #48 The Return:

David, the "sixth Animorph," is back. When the Animorphs and Ax decided to give another human being the power to morph, it was one their biggest mistakes. David tried to destroy all of them - and almost succeeded. Rachel and the others thought they'd seen the last of him when they trapped David as a nothlit. Leaving him on a deserted island to live out his days as a rat...

They were wrong.

Rachel knows what a threat David is. He's cunning and dangerous. Worst of all, he knows their secrets. Now he's captured Rachel as part of his plan to take over everything. David wants power. Money. But more than anything, he wants revenge...

And the very cool sample chapter can be found here: http://www.scholastic.com/animorphs/sample48.htm
Here’s the larger #48 cover: http://www.scholastic.com/animorphs/download/bk48.jpg

- Amazon.com posted a very clear cover of #49 The Diversion, cover morph Tobias to German shepherd. Everyone says this is the absolute BEST cover in the entire series! I do have to say the transformation between the bird to the dog is very good! See it right here!: http://images.amazon.com/images/P/043911523X.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

- There’s a new summary this week thanks to Morphz. The summary for #52, the book is coming out March 2001, Ax will narrate it and he’ll morph a raccoon on the cover! The summary doesn’t sound good at all, but something tells me blowing up the Yeerk pool is not all that will happen:
Every action has a consequence…
Ax and the other Animorphs can’t wait around for the Yeerks next attack, so they take action. They come up with a plan, to blow up the Yeerk pool.

- The third cover for this week! Morphz posted a very cool cover for Ellimist, all shiny and everything! Find it here: http://www.morphz.com/book/books/bkecbig.jpg
And from the Official Site, the first chapter of The Ellimist Chronicles: http://www.scholastic.com/animorphs/samplebkell.htm
Unfortunately, I already saw the inner cover of the book when I didn’t want to.

- Well, this weekend I finished Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire, and here is my review with no spoilers!:
What an amazing book! I have never read such an incredible book before in my life! J.K. is a genious! As I began to read it, I thought to myself "I'm never going to finish this book", just because of the size of the book. But when I read it, I understood why it's such a long book. There is so much going on and the book is NOT rushed and that is why it is an incredible book. I could never read a book this long before, but the writing makes you want to keep reading to see how everything turns up. The book was written so well, it was like reading a movie script. I could SO see the movie for this book, it was practically playing like a movie in my mind. I loved the book so much, it's easily the best Harry Potter book so far. The action and actions of the characters were amazingly planned out, so misleading and left you thinking until the answer came at the end of the book. I also laughed during the book, there was humour in the book that wasn't in the last three books. This is an amazing book that will get anyone reading as it literally comes to life. One bad thing about it, is I now have to wait an entire year for the next book to come out.

I have now started reading Animorphs #46 The Deception, so expect a review of the book next week. I don't have #47 or Ellimist as others do though.

- Here’s a review on the Animorphs PC game from Yahoo! You can read it here: http://dailynews.yahoo.com/h/nm/20000928/en/multimedia-programs_12.html

#46 The Deception appears on the Top 150 Book Charts! Appearing at 102 from 195 last week, which is pretty good!
