                         ISSUE #141
           WEEK OF APRIL 15, 2001

                   <HI EVERYONE!>
I have no school today and there's good news and bad news. The bad
news first, last Friday was Friday the 13th and did you know there is
only 3 more weeks until the end? The end is sooner than you thought
huh? Speaking of the end, we got some great news on that! More good
news is that AW has grown by 40 members and Easter was yesterday
(yummy chocolate)! Just last week we had 301 members, and now look at
the number! Oh, and watch for the results of the AW Awards next week!

 AW FORUM

Last week's forum responses: is there any special way you will read
#54?
Thanks to ALL who sent in their responses!

"i will read the last book so slowly that my butt will be plasterd to
the  couch, my hands plasterd to the book, and face plasterd to the
book."
- rachel mckitty.sj

"Well, I just need to say first of all that during May, I'm going to
be an absolute *wreck*. I'll walk into my bedroom, see my shelf of my
Animorphs books, and burst into tears until I have none left. ~sigh~
As for actually reading 54, I'm going to go into my room and lock
every body out (anyone who dares disturb me is going to be seriously
hurt). I won't take any phone calls, won't talk to anybody, won't
watch TV, nothing. Just sit down and savor the last chance I'll ever
have to read a new Animorphs book."
-Forlay

"How will I read #54? Good question. The last one...(except the
encyclopedia thingie). I'll probally read it reeeeaaaalllyyyyy
sssslllllooooooowwwwwlllllyyyyy while listening to ALL my Collective
Soul albums. THEN I'll bomb Jeff Sampson's house in a mission of
mercy."
- Ziltron

"Well, first, I'll lock my bedroom door and take both keys with me so
I won't be bothered, then I'll probally be so anxious that I'll read
it really fast, and 45 minutes later be sitting with a confused look
on my face because in my speed-reading I missed something really
important, so I'll go back and reread and end with a half happy-and-
satified/half extremely sad sigh, and go unlock my door and clean up
the bodies, beacuse by that time, my younger sibs will have probally
killed each other."
- Reana

"umm... beginning 2 end? like i do all the books? i think thats the
only way u  can read it..."
- steph :-)

"What special thing will I do? Well, I'm going to paint my room's
black, throw everything but a chair into the hall way. Then I'm
putting on my best suit, light about 2 dozen candles, and read the
book. Afterwards, I might cry, then throw my self off a 3 foot step!"
- Simply Sib

"Very, very slowly so I can savor every last word."
- CBrown

This week's forum question is: What type of things do you want to see

-- #54 DETAILS!
He's so lucky, that lucky duck! Tyler managed to get his hands on
book #54 (thanks to his brother)! Major EXCLUSIVE over at Ani-
News.com, there's an image of the inner cover and the official back-
of-book summary! #54 has 158 pages and there's a three page message
from K.A. included in the book! Here's the inner cover of #54, check
it out here (I haven't seen it yet):
https://aninews.tripod.com/54inner.gif

And just so you know, the "Watch Ani-TV" thingy is on the cover, but
on the BACK of the book.
Since Tyler has read the book, he now knows who dies, but he ai'nt
tellin (thanks Tyler, that wasn't meant to be sarcastic :-). Here's
the summary:
No one ever thought it would come to this.

Jake, Rachel, Tobias, Cassie, Marco, and Ax know that even if they
could have warned people in the begining, no one would have believed
their story. A story about an invasion of parasetic aliens. So, for
all of time, Jake, the other Animorphs, and Ax have secretly faught a
desparate battle. Secretly held the Yeerks at bay.
But those days are over.

It's come down to the final battle between the Yeerks and Animorphs.
And no one knows who will win, lose, or live...

THE EXTRAORDINARY CONCLUSION TO THE BEST-SELLING ANIMORPHS

-- REMNANTS CONTRACT AND MORE
It has now been confirmed that K.A.'s contract for Remnants is 12
books instead of 6 or 7! They are still coming out every other month,
but if they become popular enough, they might go to every month!
Here's the new updated schedule:
#6 -- April 2002
#7 -- June 2002
#8 -- August 2002
#9 -- October 2002
#10 -- December 2002
#11 -- February 2003
#12 -- April 2003
So that's at least two years of Remnants! Also, thanks to Isolated,
we got the first Remnants sample chapter, ever! It's all about Jobs
seeing the destruction of Earth and you can read it here:
http://remnants.sphosting.com/chapters/1.html

Plus, The Mayflower Project (Remnants #1) is going to be an ebook!
Starting in May, you can actually download and read a few chapters
from the book a whole month before it even comes out! There's even an
ad in Sports Illustrated for Kids, check it out thanks to Remnants X:
http://anitrailer.homestead.com/files/remnants.jpg

And even more Remnants news! Here's the first officialsummary thanks
to BAMM.com. This isn't the back-of-book summary, but it is the first
official summary out, sounds cool:
This new series begins in the year 2011. The Earth is about to be
destroyed, and in an attempt to survive, a handful of people board a
revamped space shuttle and are placed in suspended animation. Only a
few awake 500 years later to find many did not survive. Alone in
space, they discover the future of the human race is in their hands

-- #52 BOOK REVIEW
I finished reading #52 today and I'm anxiously waiting to get #53
since everyone says it's amazing! So here is my review for #52 The
Sacrifice with no spoilers. I have to say, this is a pretty good Ax
book, definately better than Ax's previous book. The book was
organized, planned very well and was always exciting. I was really
shocked when Ax revealed his feelings about Cassie, but I thought
that he got over it way to fast for an arrogant Andalite. The ghoster
did a good job in writing the book, however I think a few parts
weren't very realistic. The character development was handled well
(and there was A LOT), but as I said before it was a bit rushed. I
really hope Ax's communication situation with the other Andalites
will be handled in the next book, because that was the only thing
that kept me hanging.

-- ANIMORPHS REVIEWS
I found a site that has tons of reviews from kids all over the States
about the Animorphs books, and the site they come from isn't from
Scholastic. So these reviews are pretty honest to what they say, take
a look: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/zoom/reviews/animorphsbooks.shtml

Also, the Animorphs Xtreme at the Official Site was updated today
with new questions and answers, a new "newspaper article" and a
new "encrypted message" from Jake. Another thing that was updated was
the Official Site's Poll question, and I think it's a good question
so go ahead and vote:

#52 The Sacrifice is now off the charts (which means it dropped from
105 to over 150).
