Question: I've been wondering if it was still too late to send in more fan-fics, since the series is ending. I have been working on two seperate books in which one of them is a Shadow Man (N64) meets Animorphs, but I am having trouble getting people to put them on thier pages. Are people no longer accepting fan-fics due to end of the series? I hope not as they are the only good read I get if I have read all or cannot buy another Animorphs book.

Answer: No, of course we are still accepting them. It's just a matter of getting off of our lazy butts and start posting them. I agree, there are many great fan-fics out there, and I don't know why some people are not taking them in. It's a conspiracy! Ah!

Question: If the universe is everything that's out there . . . where exactly is it expanding into when the scientest say the universe is expanding? (heh heh heh)

Answer: Why the laughing? This is an easy one. Cosmology, the study of the expanding universe, was first explained by the brilliant Albert Einstein. The thing is observations so far have not succeeded in determining whether the universe is open (of infinite extent in space) or closed (of finite extent) and whether the universe in the future will continue to expand indefinitely or will eventually collapse back into an extremely dense, congested state. In other words, we don't know FOR SURE that the universe is everything out there. If it expanding, and it is only finite, then it is overlapping the other things out there. But, if it is expanding and is infinite, that's a different issue.

Edwin Hubble had been the first to establish that the universe included many other galaxies outside of our own. But, he noticed something else: the galaxies were receding from us at a velocity proportional to their distance. From his calculations, it implies that the universe is uniformly expanding. What does that actually mean? For one thing, it means that whatever glaxy we are in in space, all other glaxies are moving away from us. So, whether we are in the Andromeda galaxy, or in our own Milky Way, all other galxies are moving away from each other galaxy. It also means that the galaxies are not moving away through space, they are moving away with space, as space itself expands. When you hear that the universe is expanding, it means that everything within it is moving away from everything else, PLUS space is moving with the galaxies.

As this page puts it: Think of a loaf of unbaked raisin bread you've set in a warm place to rise. The raisins are like galaxies or clusters of galaxies, and the dough, space. As the dough rises, the raisins move farther apart, but they've moved with the dough, not through the dough. Get it? So the universe isn't really expanding TO anywhere. The space and everything within it is just moving further away from other parts. To put it simply, the universe is more moving apart then expanding. Ouch. Headache...

Question: What am I thinking right now?

Answer: Well, as you read this your thinking the exact same thing as I am thinking. Your thinking 'why in the world would they actually reply to this?' :0) Am I correct? Good question, though.

Question: Eh, I posted this on the message board but no one replied so far.  I can't see any of the graphics; they're all broken images.  Just to tell ya'll. Er, this is supposed to be a question.... Why do they say "truck" on truck license plates but not "van" on van license plates, or any other cars?  Why is there life on Earth?  What's 2(k+93)/h-2(5)+45=53 solving for k? How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?  There, those are my questions! I better get good answers.... ;)

Answer: Sorry about the replies on the MB, sometimes we all get too busy. Also, thanks for letting us know aobut the images - it's more of a tripod problem then an ani-news problem, but we're trying to fix it all up. In regards to your other questions: I have no idea; Still no idea; your equation wasn't structured very well :P ; and an estimate of 2.39 recurring peices of wood (of approx. 0.75 Kgs) per second.

Question: I've done some work in creating web pages last year, but I still don't know this, how do you create games, movies and morph sequences (your morphs page), because your games rock, as do your morphs and other ani sites have movies and I'm thinking of creating a web page on various great books (Animorphs, Aliens vs Predator, Net force explorers, etc) so it would help me to create a better page if I had these things.

Answer: A lot of what we have at Ani-news comes from a learning curve. It's not something we've picked up overnight, it's something we've become interested in, and have gone to the touble to sit down and learn it. Then comes the practice - over and over until we start to get better. The Games can be picked up from various script sites, and have been modified to suit the Animorphs theme. Morphs are created through the help of Morph editors and graphics programs, and as for movies...well, we don't  have any of those!
