A Poem Inspired by "The Beginning"
The starry universe is undefinable,
The darkness is never complete;
Each shadowy night has a beauty all its own,
All anger is cradled in the warm embrace
Hate is held in the steadfast gaze
Sadness walks hand in hand with joy
All that is nothing and everything.
Its goodness and evils shall never be entwinable;
Two paths diverged that exist as one
Like the day's dark moon and bright sun
Which eternally contrast and shun.
As their enmity is hurled through space, they are spun-
Each with its own purpose, and yet no victories to be won.
Far away the vast fires twinkle and burn.
Darkness shall always keep, never defeat
The guiding lights and comforting heat
Sunny love splashes the moon throughout each solitary turn.
The morning dew and dusky breeze are wonderful and whole.
Without one another, no stars would be shown
Without the night, black as coal
There would never again come a breathtaking sunrise to uplift the soul.
Of sweet forgiveness, gentle grace.
Of mysterious love's overwhelming haze
Kindness' firm yet generous ways.
Both eternal
undying
everlasting
soft crying
wild flying;
forever beautiful,
forever sighing.
Keep trying.
