The Switching - Story 1 of 4
Chapter #1
My name is Jason and only Jason. I can’t tell you my last name or where I live. It’s too dangerous to tell anyone cause controllers are everywhere! In your house, in your school and they could be any of your friends or family members. We call controllers the people who have yeerks in their heads and aren’t really humans. The Yeerks crawl into a person’s head and wraps themselves around the brain and takes control of the person, totally! Me, Joey, Kris, Lisa, Cathy, only 1 Andalite and a small group of free Hork-Bajir are the only resistance against the yeerks.
How is a group of teenagers going to stop these aliens? Well, It all started 3 months ago, which seemed like years to me, when we met a dying Andalite war prince. His name was Shartul-Yishimil-Xestuful. He gave us a power, a power to stop the Yeerk invasion of Earth. He gave us the power to morph into any creature we touch. As Billigono, we call him bill, would say <Any multi-cellular organism we touch, we can morph.>
Billigono is one of us, an Andalite aristh who we think is the only survivor of the crash of his ship. He has no sense of humor and when he morphs human, watch out! He can’t resist milkshakes and whenever he gets close to one, he runs for it!
Okay, it was a hot sunny day when I called a meeting at the park. I just heard from Erek, a chee, that Alloran an Andalite war prince who is the abomination of the universe had escaped the hold of the yeerks. He had gone off into space and no one knows where he is.
Chapter 2
“I think we should go look for him” said Joey.
“How can we, stupid?!?!?!?” said Lisa. “We don’t have a ship!”
“Oh, I didn’t think of that.” said Joey.
“You’re too stupid to think of anything!!” yelled Lisa
“Hey!” replied Joey.
Those two always argue. I don’t know why. Joey is my best friend and well, Lisa is my cousin.
“Well, I think we’ll have to ask Billigono to help us build the ship. After all, he is an Andalite!” I said.
<I cannot build a ship cause I do not have the knowledge to do so> said Billigono <I am sure that the yeerks will find him soon anyways>
“We could attack the yeerks when they don’t have their Andalite controller” said Cathy.
“ I say we attack head on” said Lisa.
“I don’t fell like doing it today.” said Joey. “how ‘bout tomorrow?”
“I agree with Cathy” said Kris
<I’m doing what prince Jason decides on!> Billigono said in thought speak.
“Well, I think that we should wait until the yeerks get him back and then we could have their Andalite controller join us.” I said.
They all agreed to wait and then we all went back to our families.
Chapter 3
It was 2:00AM in the morning when the phone rang. It was Erek the Chee. He is one of us. He was made by the Pemalite race who are now extinct. He told me that the yeerks have found Alloran and was chasing him through Z-space. I called for a meeting at 3:00AM and everybody was grumpy.
“So great leader, why’d you call us this early?” Joey asked sarcastically.
“Alright you guys, I just got info on Alloran and the yeerks from Erek.” I said.
“So what did he say?” asked Cathy.
“He said that the yeerks found Alloran and is chasing him through Z-Space.” I said.
“So what do you guys think we should do now?” I asked.
“I think we should attack them head on.” said Lisa.
“You ALWAYS say that!” yelled Joey.
“Shut Up!” Yelled Lisa.
“Stop it guys!” yelled Kris “couldn’t we work together?”
“You stay outta this!” screamed Lisa.
After this big fight we decided to waste some more time and wait for the yeerks to get him and take him back to Earth before we make any moves. We all went to the mall and got some cokes and Pepsi’s. And a milkshake for Bill. When we were chatting away, we saw a security guard chasing someone.
“It could be Alloran!” yelled Kris.
“On my command, start following them” I told.
“Go!” I yelled!
We all started running past all the people and went outside where they went. We looked ahead and saw the man. He was half-Andalite and half-human!
“I knew it!” yelled Joey. “It’s Alloran!”
We were all amazed and couldn’t talk so we just ignored Joey.
He was now fully demorphed and he ran, right into the forest and disappeared.
Chapter 4
We followed him into the forest and then we morphed to birds. We looked around and saw the yeerks taking Alloran into their bug fighter. We demorphed and morphed into flies and we slipped in.
We demorphed and pretended we were controllers.
“Now what do we do?” asked Kris?
“We’re going to try and gain control of the ship” I said.
“How?” asked Lisa.
“by tricking some controllers” I answered.
We walked out of the closet looking like we knew what we were doing. They followed me into the control room where we saw Alloran strapped to a neck restraint above a dark hole.
“I’m guessing that the Yeerk, Visser Three is in that hole” said Kris.
“there’s probably a mini yeerks pool inside the hole and I’m guessing that they’re going to make him a controller very soon.” I said.
“Hey you!” yelled a controller. “watch the Andalite will you?”
“sure!” we all said.
“thank you brothers!” said the controller.
“we got ‘em now!” yelled Lisa.
We all got close to Alloran and then his tailed snapped back and he was ready to defend himself.
“whoa! take it easy!” said Joey.
His tail relaxed a little, but not much. We were really careful around him now.
We told him that we were here to help him and that we were not controllers. I think he believed us cause his whole tail just fell and hit the floor.
“Did you happen to aquire any new morphs while you were gone?” asked Bill.
“Yes, I got 1 new morph from a planet close to Earth.” said Alloran.
“What did you aquire?” asked Joey.
“A Skrowfig” said Alloran.
“What’s that?” asked Kris.
“An alien that can switch bodies with anything that is multi-celled.” said Bill. “It is one of the rarest race in the universe.”
“Tell me Alloran, how did you aquire it without letting it switch bodies with you?” I asked.
“Well, It was simply sleeping” replied Alloran.
“It can also give anyone the power to switch bodies too but they don’t do that often.” said Bill.
“I have a plan.” I said.
Chapter 5
“Alloran has to morph the Skrowfig first.” I said. “Then have him give us the power to switch bodies.”
“Great plan!” yelled Kris.
Alloran morphed the creature and gave each of us the power to switch bodies. He then demorphed and waited for us to do something.
I reached into the hole and got the ability to morph Visser Three in Yeerk form. I told everybody to hold me still while I switch bodies with Visser Three the Yeerk and to knock me out my body after I have done so.
I switched and I was now in the body of a Yeerk and they probably knocked out the Yeerk who was in my body.
I felt someone pick me up and I’m guessing it was Alloran cause they had 7 fingers. I was then stuffed in an ear. I started squirming in and then I felt someone’s brain. I flattened myself out onto the brain and wrapped around it. I saw images of an Andalite galloping in tall fields of grass. Memories and images flooded my brain and I got all of Alloran’s knowledge and everything else he had. I reached for the eye control in the brain and opened Alloran’s eye. I could see in all directions because of the stalk eyes and I used the main eyes to focus on my friends and Bill. I then tapped into his arms and feet control part of his brain and then I stood up and but couldn’t move cause of the restraint. I tapped into his voice and tail control and then I spoke using Alloran’s thought speak voice while I waved my tail around.
<I’m in Allorans body!> I said using thought speak.
“great now what do we do with your body?” Lisa asked?
<Hide it> I said.
They pilled my body into the closet and taped my hands and feet together and tapped my mouth shut.
<Could someone remove the restraints?> I asked?
Cathy took the key and unlocked the restraint. I got up and started walking around. It felt good to walk with four legs. You have a lot of balance and with the tail, well, it was really strong and I liked it. I also like the stalk eyes. It was really cool when you can see in every direction at once.
I knew how to use every body part Alloran had and I knew what to do with them. Alloran spoke to me and asked me if I liked his Andalite body. I told him that it was better than a humans. He said good and didn’t talk to me.
Some controllers walked in and started talking.
Chapter 6
They started talking and asked my friends why is the Andalite free? All they said was that Visser Three took control of him again so they won’t have to worry and to get outta there before the Visser sends their heads across the floor. Of course, they ran.
I then told them that we had to go to the Yeerk pool. They followed me and asked me why were we going there. I just told them to wait and see.
When we got to the pool, the controllers said something about the kandrona shining and strengthening me.
I just yelled in full thought speak “ Shut up and get out! All of you! and leave all the Yeerk free hosts.
They all ran and locked the tight metallic doors. We made sure no one was still here and then we started our plan.
“Here’s my plan.” I said. “We all switch bodies with some now free Hork-Bajir in the cages.”
The Hork-Bajir looked scared and confused. My friends walked up to a Hork-Bajir and switched bodies. The Hork-Bajir were then my friends bodies and then they started freaking out and then I told them that it was okay. All of them have done it successfully except for Bill because we need him to do something first. All of them were examining they’re Hork-Bajir bodies and then I told one of the Hork-Bajirs in Lisa’s body to go and get us the key. He knew where it was cause he saw where the controllers had put it.
I unlocked the cage and set all the other Hork-Bajir and my friends in Hork-Bajir bodies free. They all ran out to where I told them to go and then me and Bill went to finish something up. We went to the doors and sealed them with dracon beams so no one can enter it. We then gathered up all the yeerks and placed them in barrels filled with kandrona. We took them and threw them in the ocean.
We went back and Lisa got the morphing cube that Elfangor gave us and used them of their Hork-Bajir bodies. Now the Hork-Bajir bodies have the morphing power too but Alloran also knew something that no one knew about the cube. He made it so the cube made their morphing limit unlimited and to make them able to aquire morphs from morphed people.
They used it on them and then they hid the cube again.
Chapter 7
I morphed all the morphs that Alloran had and I let them absorb it’s DNA. They were amazing morphs and it took me 5 hours to morph them all.
We looked around and we saw that we had lost my friends bodies! I morphed into a makfit bird and went to look for them. My friends morphed into the makfit bird too.
We looked for hours but we still didn’t find them. But we had some other things to do before we try again. We demorphed and took my body and gave the body switching power to him and then we took him to some fungus and told him to think of the work “switch” to get his body back. He did and then he switched bodies with some multi-celled fungi. The fungi was now inside my body! It just stood there like a statue and started sucking on the ground! It was probably trying to suck up nutrients in the ground.
We took him and put him in the neck restraint in the bug fighter. We then started looking for the 10 extra yeerks we kept. We thought that we would need them.
“What we going do with them?” asked Lisa in her Hork-Bajir Body.
<Watch> I said.
Alloran had just told me that when they switch bodies with something, they get the things IQ and they lose their own. That explains why Lisa talked weird.
“Me want eat bark!” said Kris.
“Yes, Me want bark. It good!” said Cathy
“We want bark like dog” said Joey.
Joey’s humor was not as funny when he had the IQ of a Hork-Bajir. It was hard to understand what they said but we had to stick with it for now.
<Try talking like you do in your human bodies> I said.
“We try, we can’t, but love talk this way! Easier!” they all said at the same time.
<How are we going to get them back into their human bodies?> I asked Bill.
<I do not have a clue> he said.
<We’ll have to find out later then. right?> I said.
<yes,we will have to find a way later> said Bill.
We’ll have to switch back into our bodies somehow so we got the chee to cover for us while were gone.
We then found my friends bodies up some trees where all the hork-bajir were.
<there they are> I said.
“Me want stay hork-bajir forever!” Yelled Lisa.
“so we eat good bark all time.” said Kris.
“and belong with hork-bajir family forever” said Cathy
“me don’t want leave me hork-bajir body! Comfortable! Not hurt easy! Good tree climb people! Fast in tree! easy talk. Language Easy! Lot blades defend family! No clothes! No mess hair! No make hair look good! Me like hork-bajir body! No way leaving! Me stay all time!” said Joey.
Joey was always the good talking person. He always talks a lot. I don’t like him in his hork-bajir body or any of my friends being stuck this way forever.
<We’ll have to take this to Extreme measures> I said.
Chapter 8
It took a lot to convince my friends to come with me and to stop looking for bark to eat. I told them that I was taking them to a place filled with chocolate bark.
“Where me get chocolate bark for me eat?” asked Joey.
<somewhere> I said.
I took them to the Yeerk pool cause I had to get some kandrona. I told them to pick me up when there’s a splash in the pool. The agreed.
When I splashed, Hork- Bajir fingers picked me up and put me in an Andalite’s ear. I took control of Alloran’s body and I saw that Alloran gave them the power to switch bodies! I asked Alloran why he did that and he said that so they can switch bodies again.
I trotted off into the woods and by now it was dark out. I went to the place where Bill feeds and then I fed Alloran’s body. When I was done, I took my friends in Hork-Bajir bodies to the Hork-Bajir Valley. They stayed there and I told them I was going to take them to the chocolate bark tomorrow morning.
I trotted back to the place where Bill hangs out and then I went to sleep with Bill. We woke up in 6 hours and I didn’t know how I knew that. I guess that it was the automatic clock that Andalites have to keep track of time. We went to the Hork-Bajir Valley and got my friends. We went to McDonalds in human morph and ordered some stuff.
“Me want burger!” said Kris
“Me want Fries! Fries Good! bad for body!” said Cathy
“Me want me wieners! We eat good weenies!” said Joey
“bubbles in black water! It sting tongue! Tasty good!” said Lisa.
“I just want a chicken sandwich!” I said.
The lady looked at us like we were weird or something. When my friends got they’re orders and went to sit at a table, the lady asked me what was wrong with my friends. I just said they’re weird.
After lunch we went back to the Yeerk pool and we used the Yeerk babies in the barrels for my friends to switch bodies into. They didn’t want to so Bill strapped them all in restraints and I crawled into each of my friends brains and took control. I then made them switch bodies with the baby yeerks. After all that was done, we put them all in small plastic tubs filled with kandrona so they won’t dye. I then got back onto Alloran and trotted off with my friends in Yeerk bodies.
Me and Bill then started to put them inside their human bodies that were controlled by Hork-Bajir.
This is all messed up! How can we fix this? Bill didn’t know and either did Alloran.
Chapter 9
Now my friends had the IQ of Yeerk babies! I know what we could do! We could leave them in those bodies for a few years or so and let the yeerks take care of them for now. Then they’ll have the minds of the yeerks who want nothing but to dominate the universe! We then decided to let them stay in Yeerk bodies for 5 years and then we’ll come and look for them again.
They didn’t respond because they had minds of Yeerk babies that didn’t even know what anything was. Now, I’ll have to stay in Alloran’s body for 5 years and pretend to be Visser Three. But to keep my body alive, I’ll crawl in my body first and use it to switch bodies with a Hork-Bajir. I did that and then everything was taken care of, for now! Only a few Hork-Bajir has to die of hunger to get my friends back to normal.
But to make it easier, we killed the Hork-Bajir so they’re race doesn’t have to see one of they’re kind dye of hunger. The yeerks who had they’re bodies switched with my friends, they were now raised by Hork-Bajir and they will now live they’re whole lives as a species they weren’t born as.
<So, Bill, what should we do with our friends in these Yeerk bodies?> I asked.
<I don’t know.> said Bill <I’ll do whatever you will do prince Jason.>
<Ok, but first we’ll have to go to the Yeerk pool again.>
Chapter 10
Me and Bill took my friends to the Yeerk pool and threw them in the baby Yeerk pool to be raised by older yeerks.
I then told Bill to switch bodies with a baby Yeerk. He did and then I gave the Yeerk the power to switch again so he then switched with an older Yeerk. I then killed the baby Yeerk and then i put Bill inside his own Andalite body. He slowly took control of the body and then when he got full control, i told him that the plan is to pretend were Andalite controllers and to do it for 5 whole years.
He agreed and then we both left our host and went into the Yeerk pool together and enjoyed the rays flooding into our slimy, mute, blind, and deaf bodies. We then entered our Andalite hosts and then we opened the doors and then we let the controllers in and then we let them leave they’re host to soak up kandrona rays. After they all were refreshed from kandrona rays, I told them that this Andalite in now one of us, a controller. They were so happy that they started yelling stuff.
“Yeerks will dominate!” they all yelled. “we are the supreme rulers of all kinds! We are Yeerks!”
They all stopped when I told them to shut up. I then commanded them to take care of the baby yeerks as well as they can so they can grow up to be strong and healthy so one day they’ll be too strong to resist so the yeerks can take over the Andalite home world!
They all cheered and then they left to go back to their hosts home.
Prologue
I started understanding the yeerks better. Me and Bill would lead them into fake victories. I became Visser 1 and Bill was Visser 2. We saw our friends grow up in Yeerk bodies and they had nothing in their minds but to dominate the universe. We weren’t sure if we did the right thing. Joey was called Sub Visser 22. Lisa was called Visser 13. Cathy was Sub Visser 1. Kris was Visser 3.
I would then see them command each other. Kris would tell Lisa to feed people to taxxons and then she would tell Cathy to get her shock troops to feed the betrayers to the Yeerk army to the taxxons and then Joey as Sub Visser 22 would be commanded to gather up new hosts to expand they’re army.
I would see Cathy’s troops throwing in hork-bajir and humans into pits with hungry taxxons while Joey would be forcing a Yeerk up free creatures heads. It was really sad.
Joey had a Hork-Bajir controller. Cathy had a taxxon controller. Lisa had a Hork-Bajir Controller while Kris had a human controller. They didn’t even remember their real selves. They acted exactly like yeerks who only want to dominate. They acted like the yeerks who raised them and they were mean and nasty like all the other yeerks. They even took their human brothers and sisters and their whole family and turned them into controllers without even remembering who they were.
They didn’t care about anything else. All they cared about was themselves and they’re fellow yeerks who only cared about taking over someone’s mind and controlling they’re body.
Good thing Alloran told me to back up they’re memories into a computer so they’ll remember who they are once the computer had put they’re memories back into them. But for now, we’ll have to see them cause suffering, pain, and domination over other races by using they’re fellow yeerks who they weren’t even suppose to be.
But we will have to see what will happen to them and we will have to see if they would accept they’re original selves.
