Back to Before

Together you fight,
scared yet strong.
Whilst you battle Yeerks,
I can only write songs.
Jake the leader,
you are the one.
Cassie the healer,
life still goes on.
Marco the joker,
sarcastic yet steady.
Rachel the warrior,
is always ready.
Tobias the bird,
trapped and free.
Ax the alien,
he’s not strange to me.
Together you fight,
scared yet strong.
Kids in a war,
where they don’t belong.
But when this is over,
when the Yeerks are no more.
Can you ever go back,
to what was before?
